Holden's unfortunate side

Throughout these nine chapters i have read, I've noticed that Holden acts too old for his age. In the first few chapters, he acted like he owned Pency and that it was Pency's fault that he had gotten kicked out. To me, it seemed like he didn't even try in school and that his attitude might have gotten the best of him. he seems like a shady character who doesn't want to get attached to anyone.
He says mean things about the other character's in the book and is a compulsive lier.

  1. ill have to disagree with you, i believe that Holden is a very sensitive persona and acts more like a child playing dress up with his daddy's close, he needs to realize how to be more like an adult but still keep his childhood, being only 17, around are age, it's not like we never go parading acting like we own the place, this is just a normal teenager trying to find his place in the world, just like everyone else, we all have our hardships and just because we dont know other peoples we shouldn't criticize peoples lives. if you think about it were all kinda messed up in our own way :)
